Composed 2023 for Flexible Concert Band
Experiment M was premiered on March 17, 2023 by the York Middle School Honor Band
Experiment M started out as a potential commission for beginning band and became a student favorite at its premiere. The music was presented to the students the morning of the performance and allowed for great creativity and decision-making with the performers.
Performers get to help make decisions about tempo, dynamics, note choices, and rhythms, which creates an investment in the piece unlike any other!
