Ham and Cheese Hash Brown Waffles

1 (30-oz) pkg frozen shredded hash browns, thawed
1 (8-oz) pkg diced ham OR breakfast sausage (cooked)
1 (8-oz) pkg shredded xheddar cheese
2 tsp garlic salt
3 large eggs, lightly beaten
½ cup Ranch dressing
Pepper to taste

Place hash browns between layers of paper towels; roll up, and squeeze liquid from potatoes.
Place potatoes in a large bowl. Stir in ham, cheese, and garlic salt. Add beaten eggs, stirring to combine.
Preheat waffle iron according to manufacturer’s directions. Spray both sides of iron with cooking spray.
Spoon about 1 cup potato mixture onto waffle iron; close and cook 10 minutes or until browned and crisp. Repeat procedure with remaining potato mixture. Serve waffles with Ranch dressing, if desired.
