Cook through, then mash beans. Set aside as  long as you feel &#8211; we did this a couple hours in advance so it could  cool down before we mixed it in with the meat.<\/p>\n<p>Cook the bacon and cut in half when finished.<\/p>\n<p>Mix the beans  with the ground meat and cumin and cook to preference. While the burgers  are cooking, cook onion in the skillet with olive oil and the other  diced chipotle pepper (if you choose &#8211; I thought it was incredible, Liz  suggested not using a pepper with the onions).<\/p>\n<p>Top with cheese just before finished to get it good and melted. Pile  on bacon, onions and BBQ sauce.
