{"id":828,"date":"2025-03-16T01:59:59","date_gmt":"2025-03-16T01:59:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kayeskinner.com\/food\/spicy-black-bean-soup\/"},"modified":"2026-03-28T03:27:21","modified_gmt":"2026-03-28T03:27:21","slug":"spicy-black-bean-soup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kayeskinner.com\/food\/spicy-black-bean-soup\/","title":{"rendered":"Spicy Black Bean Soup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Soup:<br \/>\n2 tablespoons olive oil<br \/>\n1 (4-ounce) dry-cured chorizo sausage, chopped<br \/>\n1\/2 onion, finely chopped<br \/>\n3 cloves garlic, finely chopped<br \/>\n1\/2 jalapeno, seeded and diced<br \/>\n3 (15-ounce) cans black beans, drained and rinsed<br \/>\n1 canned chipotle chile plus 1 tablespoon adobo sauce<br \/>\n3-4 cups chicken broth (recommend 3 if you like thicker soup)<br \/>\nSliced green onions, for serving<br \/>\nCumin Lime Sour Cream:<br \/>\n1\/2 cup sour cream<br \/>\n1 teaspoon ground cumin<br \/>\nJuice of 1\/2 a lime <\/p>\n<p>For the soup: Heat the olive oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the chorizo, onions, garlic and jalapeno and saute until tender, about 4 minutes.
