Arranged 2016 for SATB choir a capella
The Star-Spangled Banner was premiered on November 18, 2016 by the L Street Singers.
Our school show choir was given the opportunity to perform at a Lincoln Stars game, and I knew that we needed an arrangement of the national anthem that could be learned quickly and still sound solid. I wrote this arrangement for that event and it became our standard arrangement for all other performances.
The choral arrangement is SATB a capella WITH A BONUS piano reduction: not only does the piano appear in the performance key of Ab, but because our band’s arrangement was in Bb, I included that transposition as well to accommodate combined performances.
The instrumental arrangement is a flexible four-part arrangement, ready to be performed by any four players of any instruments.
